[29/8/2014] Code of Conduct for Birdwatchers and Bird Photographers
The Ornithological Section of La Société has published aCode of Conduct (click for page to download) for birdwatchers and bird photographers. The code aims to promote the welfare of our birds and should enable us to enjoy watching and photographing birds without harming them or their fragile habitats. In common with UK bird magazines and websites, Guernsey Birds will not generally publish photographs of endangered species during the breeding season and the code clarifies this policy and gives guidance on the species of birds likely to be covered by it. Copies of the code, which are free thanks to the generous sponsorship of Barras Car Centre Ltd, can be obtained from the Société’s office in Candie Gardens (725093) or from section members Roy Carré (254624) and Mike Cunningham (725368)
